Christmas Party 2023
It’s That time again. Time for our annual Christmas Party. Perfect time to come to the range and enjoy friends in an informal atmosphere and get your mind off all the stuff going on in the world. This party has historically been well attended. The club provides the food for the event. Desert will be potluck affair. Members can bring a desert to share with others. The party is open to all members, which includes spouses and minor children. Anyone who wishes to bring a guest may do so. There will be a small $5.00 charge for each guest to cover the food and $2.00 for each try at a turkey. (Members pay nothing)In order for us to determine the amount of food required for the event, we request members RSVP as soon as possible with number attending. We want to make sure we have ample food for the event!!

This year the event food is being prepared by Don Kozakowski, Jim “Bubba Shaffler” and of course Angel Raton and his family and staff (Smoked whole pig). The main course will be Tri-Tip, Turkey, Porty Pig along with all the fixings. If any member or their guest has food allergies, let us know and we can accommodate the limitations. December 9, 2023 “RAIN OR SHINE”
We will have the following activities:
- Chili Cookoff (starts around 9:00AM)- Any member can participate. Bring out a sample of your boldest chili for others to try. It is recommended to bring around 1-2 gallons so more members can sample, but bring what you can. Club will provide the sample cups and spoons. A limited number of electrical outlets are available but I recommend bringing your entry out already warmed or bring a heat source.
- Archery – We will also have an archery setup on the lower range so members can try their hand at another great shooting sport.
- Swap Meet (Starts at 8:00AM, setup can start at 6:30AM) – Take a look around the house and gather up all the stuff you wanted to get rid of, bring it to the Christmas party swap meet and sell it or trade for other items from other members. One mans junk is another mans treasure.
- Turkey shoot (starts at 9:00). - The club will give away Gift Certificates to the winners. The club will provide the guns and ammunition for the shoot. You supply the skill (Luck). Don’t forget your shooting glasses.
- Range cleanup drawing – This year we are giving away 4 firearms as well as other prizes. Winner of the firearms do not need to be present to win, but the other prizes are awarded only to attendees at the party
- Shoot Champion trophy awards – Awarded to those members who are most noted at each of our weekend shoots.
- Top Shot Award – This award is given to a member that has been voted as the most valued member of the year.
When the shoot ends at about 11:00 we will begin serving food. After the guns are put away those who wish, may partake of adult beverages on a BYOB basis. The Club will provide sodas and water.
Please bring extra chairs with you since there are not enough at the range for everybody who is likely to come to the party.
