We couldn't have asked for better weather... I was almost coherent after being in the sun all day although brain function is still in question...

Some folks may have noticed who came out to the night shoot we now allow rail mounted flash lights... Hopefully this will encourage more of you that are interested in testing and using your home defense setups on our night course. It will have its own class (Home Defense) as we want to keep the playing field level.
In regards to the night shoot as the Club President and I were talking about the next Night shoot we realized it would fall on Halloween Night.... So that's not going to work... So it's possible to have it on the 3rd or 4th Saturday. Contact me at tactical@coronasportsmensclub.com if you have any suggestions...

The day shoot was a blast... We did miss a some of our regular shooters so we hope you can make it out to the next one...
The results I have attached below are the finished results. I will have the break down by stage available by Friday and attach it below...

Walk and Draw Winner:
Christian Robles
Night Shoot Traditional Class Winner: Christian Robles
Night Shoot Self Defense and Fastest overall Time Winner: Jason Perez
Day Shoot Winner: Jason Perez
Overall Day/Night Winner: Christian Robles

Scores are updated... Resolution is a little fuzzy, bare with it for the time being... This is the new Score sheet that we will be running in the future. The new score sheet shows you where and what stages you missed shots or had procedurals as well as the raw time and the time with all misses, bonuses and procederals added or subtracted on... Also we have your finished position for each stage as I've recently been doing for you all...
You might have noticed I've added rank points to it and the total point you receive for the year will determine who will be the next Tactical shoot discipline shoot champion... Basically the way it will work will be this... Out of 12 shoots we will score 8 of them for rank points we will throw out the highest scores and that will determine your final score... As in golf the person with the lowest score will win... Simple enough right... :D and I will be totaling the rank points quarterly to let you know where you stand.

Where do we go to check the quarterly results? Also I've been bringing in a lot of guys from CalGuns. Is there any way we can get some signs pointing the way in to the match from Lake Mathews Drive? I'm having to take people in by car pool. It wouldn't cost more than a few bucks and we could take them down when not in use.

I am working on a slightly clandestine method of showing the way in. But fo now I am saying go through the gate then R,R,L,R,R

The big issue is finding the gate. Well I finall took a picture of the gate so now I can make new directions.

Ok Bunnykiller or slayer try this map and see if it works.

Just remember! Shhhhh!

This is the best kept secret in SoCal so don't post the location out for the general public to see.

Used to be easy to say take a left on the first road after the SS Minow... But someone hauled that boat out of there some time ago...

Maybe get some house paint out of the oops aisle at Lowes and dump it on a pile of rocks at each intersection...

I was thinking we make some cheap signs we can put up and take down on match days. I've been giving out the map except for the picture of the entrance off LMD and people (me too my first time) still get lost so I've been doing my pied piper thing and having people follow me in. Oh and I AM BUNNYSLAYER THE MIGHTY!!! HE WHO SHALL MESS WITH MY HANDLE SHALL PAY CORKPULLER!!!!!!!

Yeah if signs were made it would have to be something obscure like just CSC in bold with an arrow...

Nice pic and map...there is a street name (Gavilan Springs Rd.) on that street SIGN in the middle of that pic...coarse who looks at the name on the sign when in booneyville. It's after that, that it might get interesting. Or you could tell them to turn onto Gavilan Springs Rd. and go down to the stream and turn right into the stream (yes it really is a road)(might lose some paint on both sides of vehicle though) and follow that road to the 4way intersection and turn right, go through two gates and you're there. But then that's the original and not fun way to the range!
