Fire season and steel targets

Due to the up comming fire season the board request that no steel targets be placed on the range. If you have any questions please call

Also NO steel ammo. There are magnets on the poles at the firing line, if the bullet (not case) is attracted to the magnet it is not to be shot on our range.
I know a lot of you have surplus ammo that will now not be allowed but the fire hazard is just to great.

any news on repurcussions from the fire? if the club owns water rights, lets put in a solar well and irrigate so that there is less chance of a fire in the future.

.....Worse case scenario, would our insurance not cover us for the fire?

We are going to need a strong crew of folks out there to help pick up debris and do brush clearing projects... Scott will be asking for volunteers here shortly and announcing the day... I know I'll have to cancel other appointments to make it but I'll attend to help out to keep the range safe... We don't need any further attention drawn to our range during what I fear will be a very long fire season...
