August CSC Tactical Results...

Be patient... It takes time to tabulate the scores... Especially since 42 or you fine folks came out yesterday... Hey lets try to break 60 this year... I bet we can do it...

Okay if you were one of the fortunate few that made it out this weekend I'm sure you noticed we made a few changes... Bubba started the upper range off on a unlimited style course for 2 stages while I was running a couple of modified Steel Challenge courses on the lower range...
In the future what I am proposing is to run 1 large unlimited stage on the upper range and 3 steel challenge type stages on the lower range as they seem to be a little faster...
There will also be some new equipment and targets at the shoot by late fall early winter to help spice things up... fingers crossed...

We want to hear your thoughts...

Brian

Okay here's the results...
Day Shoot Overall Winner: Jason Perez...
Ladies League Winner: Wendy Dittmer

Brian and team: thanks for a great shoot. This was my first and I had a lot of fun and learned a ton. I especially enjoyed the upper range stages as I really like the movement aspects, etc.

I wanted to give a quick shout out to: Bubba for lending me an extra mag., to Bob and Bryan Wheeler for the tips and letting me shoot some M&P's and Dan for letting me shoot his Glock 34. After trying them all I think I'll put my money down on an M&P 9 as it felt really nice in my hand and shot well. Also, using the small insert on the grip will fit the wife's hand very nicely.

Can't wait for the next Tactical shoot.

Cheers.

Dave,
You have time enough to get the M&P 9, have the wife practice a little and the two of you can shoot in Sept.

Glad you had fun out at the shoot... If you liked the movement in that upper tactical stage you might want to try the 3 gun at the end of this month...

Unfortunately I can't attend the 3-Gun this month as we will be in Big Bear/Arrowhead OHV riding.

Is the format similar to that upper stage except we use Pistol, Rifle and Shotgun at various stations?? Is there movement with the Rifle and Shotgun as well and is the Shotgun blasting targets or clay birds like Trap?? Hahaha. I have no idea as I've never seen a 3-Gun shoot.

If the 3-Gun shoot has a "run/walk and gun" feel to it I would love it. I do have an AR-15 and a cheapy Mossberg home defence with 5 round cap so I shouldn't have any issues.

Is there any talk about making the 3-Gun a monthly shoot?? Sounds like that would be one of my favorite shoots.

Thanks Brian.
